Josh and Karen - a wedding.

You saw their engagement session, and now...the wedding.
A beautiful, but hot day for a wedding. I'm a photographer of few words, so just go and...

A senior portrait session - Brad

These are some of my favorites from Brad's recent senior portrait session. I love the studio stuff, but the black and white car shot just might be the coolest shot ever.

Engagement Session: Shae and Pete

As promised, these are some of my favorites from Shae and Pete's engagement session. I've said it before, but I really love engagement sessions. This one was no exception. We had fun, got great images, and broke State and Federal laws (just kidding...sort of). :)
This was a great warm up for their future wedding...at the beach.

It's all about the birds

I vacationed with the family at the beach recently and I've been so busy since returning, that I haven't had much time for the blog. Ironically, this first post-vacation post takes me right back to the beach. I was photographing Shae and Pete's engagement session (that will be the next post) and they asked me to take some photographs of these little birds running back and forth with the rhythm of the waves. Wildlife photography was what first got me interested in photography - it was nice to revisit it.

INFO: I love a collage!

It used to be that photographers would just shoot to the point where they felt they had a good (or hopefully, great) image. Then, try a few additional poses, and realistically - hope there were two or three "keepers". Back then, packages were the successful way to market portraiture, because the typical "portrait package" was all about one or possibly (in the really flexible ones) two images. Of course, this is way back in the days of something called "film". Digital photography changed everything. Among other things, digital capture gives the photographer more freedom to experiment,. What does this have to do with collages, you may be asking? My opinion, more freedom to experiment, and incredible digital imaging software like Photoshop add up to unique approaches to the end product. That's the long-winded version of "you can design really cool things". But, enough talk, here are some collages!

Happy 10th Anniversary!

These are images of Tim and Danielle. I photographed their wedding ten years ago, and had the pleasure of photographing their family yesterday. Genuinely nice people, and it was nice getting reacquainted. I worked extra hard so they wouldn't wait ten more years to call on me again. :)

Father's Day Portraits

I had to wait to post these because they were a Father's Day surprise. As a result...I forgot to get back to them and blog'm.
Better late than never. It's my policy to not use last names in my posts, suffice it to say, Mr. Dad was extemely pleased with this year's Father's Day gifts.
