Portraits on a purse

These were the three worst-behaved young ladies I've photographed...since before last Christmas when I photographed them.
They get it from their Momma! It was for her that I photographed them so I could give her (my wife, if you didn't figure that out yet) an awesome gift and a walking ad for Lanagan Photography. She is stopped everywhere she goes! These purses will turn you into a celebrity. :)
This year I decided to do a serious side and a funny side.

Nick at the Park

This is just another example of my self-diagnosed A.D.D.
I forgot to post these, but better late than never! These turned out too good not to show them. Nick had a plan for his time at the park (Brecknock Park), and it didn't include slowing down for portraits. If you follow my work at all, you know that doesn't bother me. I prefer to capture portraits without posing. With this type of session, I try to fall back and blend into the surroundings. No, I don't wear camouflage (hmm...maybe that's not a bad idea).

Kennedy is one!

This was my second session with Kennedy (and family) - the first was when she was just a baby. :)
This was a great session and with complete cooperation from Kennedy, we got it all: tutu, family portrait, bathtub and of course, we finished with cake! I say, no matter what, it's all good...if you can finish with cake.

Announcing...Senator Bushweller

On January 13th, I had the honor of photographing Senator Brian Bushweller's first swearing-in ceremony, as well as some family shots and some candids. I'm embarrassed to say that for all the years I've lived here, I've never even been inside Legislative Hall. The whole process was very interesting. This was no doubt a BIG day in the Bushweller family and they were their in force. Brian's wife, "Rocky" has worked as his campaign manager for the last two years - I think she's going to take a well-earned break.

Kyle's senior portraits

Well, better late than never! We did some studio shots, and some at Brecknock Park. Kyle's a pretty quiet guy, but we coaxed some smiles out of him. We got a great variety of images that really reveal who he is. That's what a portrait is supposed to do! :)
