Paula (Mom) contacted me after attending an event that reenforced the importance of family portraits. The details aren't important for this post, but the message is.
It's very easy to postpone having your family photographed - we're all very busy.
And that's fine, until something tragic happens, and we realize that all of those things that kept us so busy weren't nearly as important as we thought. If you asked most people this question: "If your house was on fire, and you could only take one thing (as in non-breathing thing, of course) - what would it be?" Family photographs would be the unanimous answer, I'd bet.
To sum this up - don't put it off any longer.
Paula didn't, and look what we got...

Taylor's senior portraits
Taylor's Mom came with Matt's Mom to view the results of his senior portrait session. Click "October 2006" in the Archives (if you missed them)...
She liked that Matt's images weren't the "same old" senior portraits. So naturally, when we did Taylor's outdoor session, that was the goal. Actually, that's always my goal. I think we were successful!

Family Portraits at the beach
Kathy and her family came to me as winners of the silent auction held every year by the Dover chapter of "Mom's House".
From their website:
Founded in 1983 in Johnstown, PA, by Peg and a group from Citizens Concerned for Human Life, Mom’s House® offers single parents, facing an unplanned pregnancy, with a viable, practical alternative to the despair of abortion and the tragedy of welfare.
They do good things! The website is: Mom's House
We did the session in Lewes, DE and really got some great images!
Here is a sampling...
