Victoria, a little more traditional

A few posts back I posted an image of Victoria that I tried some new, "artsy" techniques on. These are a few of many more favorites with a more traditional approach. Please enjoy!

Adam & Amanda's engagement session

First, thanks to the happy couple for hanging in there for this session! You both were great, and I'm sure your feet have thawed completely by now. I kept telling you it would be worth it, and now you can see for yourself...

Sneak peek at a new technique

I went to Illinois for a three day workshop in February. It was taught by a husband and wife team based in the small town of Washington, IL.
Three days of non-stop learning that have really changed the way I look at every aspect of my business. Much of the information was about the business side of things, but there was also a lot of information shared on photography and creative treatments of images after they've been captured.
This is my first attempt at one of the styles I saw demonstrated. It's not for everyone, but I really like it.
Thanks Victoria for being such a sport. I promise to post some more images soon, but for now...

You HAVE to see this slideshow!

I recently had the same company that designs my wedding DVD slideshows together, work their magic for a presentation of the images from one of my favorite senior sessions.
I'm amazed by what they did and I can't wait to have the next one done.
You can see it by clicking the following link, or take the scenic route and see it while visiting my website!

Playing around a bit...

Every now and then it's fun to just play. This type of animation is something I plan to eventually offer my high school seniors for their MySpace photos. It is a first try, so look for smoother ones in the future.

Melissa and Dave got pregnant!

Well, technically only Melissa got pregnant, but that didn't sound as enticing. We started (in '06) with great engagement shots, followed with awesome wedding shots, they had a wonderful honeymoon...which leads us to today's session. :)

Jolene and Derrick's wedding

Between the new website, designing wedding albums, and a trip last week to Illinois for an awesome (and unbelievably cold) three day portrait/wedding workshop...I have been neglecting the blog.
What better way to get back to it, than with some images and a slideshow from Derrick and Jolene's wedding. Here are just a few favorites, with a link to more in the slideshow...
