New Product Announcement: The Memory Box

I'd like to introduce a new product that I'm very excited about. I call it the "Memory Box"...until I think of a better name. :) Basically, the box is custom designed to make it personal, and make it a conversation piece. It holds mounted 5x7's that are also custom designed. Each one is it's own art piece and can be displayed on a desktop easel. This is a unique way to capture your family as it grows. I picked Janelle's family to showcase this product because it's a good illustration of the concept. I photographed her wedding and her family which as grown to four. Here's a very short video just to highlight the features. Oh, and with each new session you get a complimentary mounted 5x7 of your favorite new image to add to the box. *Please excuse the quality of the video. :)

Dewey, Mic and the kids...more beach action! [ Delaware photographer, family beach portraits ]

This was a rough one. The wind was really blowing which not only made it tough for the girls (hair issues), but sandblasted us for much of the time. On top of that, Dewey (the Dad) whined the whole time - worse than any kid. He's a friend, so I can say that. :)

Janelle and Ted's latest work {baby photographer in Delaware }

I love it when my wedding clients have babies...keeps me in business. :)
Okay, while that is a little true, what I really like is that I can continue to have a relationship with people that started out as clients, but have come to be friends.
So, to all of you other past wedding clients who have NOT had a baby - you need to get busy if you want to be my friends. Go on, I'll wait...

family session in the park {family portraits in Camden-Wyoming, Delaware }

These images were the result of a session for the parent/grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary! Very impressive. I mean being married 50 years...but I think the images are impressive too. :)

Back to the beach...portraits

I do love the beach, and so do many of my clients! These are some of the favorites, and a few collages I put together as well. Enough talk, here they are...

These are a few favorites from a (fairly) recent session at the beach. It preceded the parent's 50th anniversary celebration. Fifty years - that's impressive! I had to shoot earlier in the day than I would have preferred, but we still got some great images.

Down on the farm

We originally planned to do these portraits in a local park, but Colleen (mom) decided on something much more meaningful. We shot these images on the farm just down the road from their house. It's the house where dad grew up - is that cool, or what?

Something else I'm very excited about, is a new feature available in the software I use to present my images. The way it works, you take a digital photo of the place or places that you are considering hanging your portraits and email them to me. Also, measure something within each image and provide that info too.
I can import the image in my presentation program, calibrate using the measurement you've provided, and then bring your favorite images in and show them displayed on your wall, scaled to their actual size. Look at the image at the bottom and you can see how it looks. In this case, I didn't add a frame because they chose a gallery wrap canvas.

That awesome LifeStyle family album I mentioned...

Here is the link to one of my favorite LifeStyle albums ever!
These sessions are some of my favorites to do. Not a bunch of over-posed and static images. This is a natural and fun approach to capturing the real family. I always appreciate being welcomed into a family's life like this, and it is truly rewarding to be able to hand over albums they can, and do absolutely treasure. Did I mention I love doing LifeStyle sessions?

The New Addition - at home baby portraits

Here we visit Rob, Nichole and Patrick to welcome and admire their latest family member...Evan!
Lots of great images that made for a great new collage for the home, and my office. I have been waiting for the right collection of images to display my new Gallery Wall Collections. These are collections of gallery wrapped canvas portraits, in a variety of sizes and orientations that capture so much more than just a single one can. See the photo at the very bottom and you'll know what I mean. :)

Baby Kennedy's at-home portrait session

Here are some images from a recent at-home new baby session. Kennedy was NOT feeling her "inner-model" at the beginning. But, as always, patience paid off and we captured some sweet images. The session was capped by the best pooch portrait I've every shot...
