More Mommy & Baby images; Mother and child portraits in Delaware

These images are from a session earlier last year. Images that capture the bond between mother and baby are among my most favorites. Such a special time, and so fleeting. Tito...get me a tissue. :)
The session was complimentary, thanks to Dedicated to Women.

New Product Announcement: The Memory Box

I'd like to introduce a new product that I'm very excited about. I call it the "Memory Box"...until I think of a better name. :) Basically, the box is custom designed to make it personal, and make it a conversation piece. It holds mounted 5x7's that are also custom designed. Each one is it's own art piece and can be displayed on a desktop easel. This is a unique way to capture your family as it grows. I picked Janelle's family to showcase this product because it's a good illustration of the concept. I photographed her wedding and her family which as grown to four. Here's a very short video just to highlight the features. Oh, and with each new session you get a complimentary mounted 5x7 of your favorite new image to add to the box. *Please excuse the quality of the video. :)

Drew's first (and second) session; Dover and Camden Delaware baby portraits

Yes, it took back-to-back sessions, but in the end...totally worth it. The fact is, sometimes these little ones don't play along with our plans, and that's okay. I'll hang in there if you will! If I just gave you 15 minutes to get the shot and made you live with whatever we got...why come to me? That's not the experience I'm trying to deliver, and it's not how you end up with images like these. Commercial over, please enjoy the following images...

This one makes me laugh every time - priceless!

Meet Elle! Delaware baby pictures / photography

My New Year's resolution, to post to my blog more regularly. Today is January 4th...so much for that resolution. Back to Elle, Kristen and Justin's newest family member. She was one of the most cooperative babies I've had the pleasure of photographing. Without further delay...Elle!

Janelle and Ted's latest work {baby photographer in Delaware }

I love it when my wedding clients have babies...keeps me in business. :)
Okay, while that is a little true, what I really like is that I can continue to have a relationship with people that started out as clients, but have come to be friends.
So, to all of you other past wedding clients who have NOT had a baby - you need to get busy if you want to be my friends. Go on, I'll wait...

Tub Time! Baby portraits

This session with Emerson didn't go as easy as previous times. In fact, it actually took three attempts before the payoff. We used all the noisemakers, snack breaks, sibling cheerleaders - the works. Whatever it takes!

I thought it would be cool to show the transition of the image.

-The first shot is pretty much straight out of the camera with just a little sharpening applied.

-The next, color is saturated overall, background is blurred a bit, loose flower petals are removed, and corners are darkened to draw attention to our bathing baby.

-Finally, color is altered to give the image a vintage feel, and an old fashioned mat is applied for a real retro feel.

Jolene and Derrick's latest work - Julianne!

I just photographed the fam on Thursday at their home - we got some great images! It helps a lot when the baby is super happy and smiley the entire time. I especially enjoy going into homes where so much of my work is on display. :)
Here are a few favs and a show...enjoy!

Kennedy is one!

This was my second session with Kennedy (and family) - the first was when she was just a baby. :)
This was a great session and with complete cooperation from Kennedy, we got it all: tutu, family portrait, bathtub and of course, we finished with cake! I say, no matter what, it's all good...if you can finish with cake.

Abbey's little sis

You may remember images of Abbey from recent and not so recent posts. My all-time favorite is the one of her in the little tub. Well, Abbey has a little sister now and she is equally cute.:)Here are some favorites, including a few with big sis.
