Mommy & Daughter portraits - Delaware Children's Pictures

A long overdue addition here, these are images from Emerson's 2nd birthday session. Adorable shots and a nice collage so she can keep up with her brothers. :)

A girl and her dog ( children and pet photography in Delaware)

These are some of the favorites from Abby and Jake's portrait session. Jake is a very special dog and helped Abby get through some tough times. Nothing but blue skies ahead now. I don't do too many studio sessions with pets. Let's just say I've been burned before and leave it at that. :)
Jake was very well behaved, attentive, and most importantly - "potty trained". Abby now has a 16x16" soft wrap print in her bedroom. I liked it so much, I have one as a sample in my office.

Family Portraits at the park

Okay, not the whole family - we'll get mom and dad in there next time. This was my first time working with this family and I look forward to the next time. Great kids, totally into it - great images.
Jack, I know what it's like to have two older sisters - stay strong brother. :)

Evan and his big bro' Patrick

Welcome back to the blog, Patrick and Evan! You may remember them if you are one of the millions of Lance's blog subscribers. :)
This session was our easiest yet...almost too easy. I'll take it when I can get it!

Down on the farm

We originally planned to do these portraits in a local park, but Colleen (mom) decided on something much more meaningful. We shot these images on the farm just down the road from their house. It's the house where dad grew up - is that cool, or what?

Something else I'm very excited about, is a new feature available in the software I use to present my images. The way it works, you take a digital photo of the place or places that you are considering hanging your portraits and email them to me. Also, measure something within each image and provide that info too.
I can import the image in my presentation program, calibrate using the measurement you've provided, and then bring your favorite images in and show them displayed on your wall, scaled to their actual size. Look at the image at the bottom and you can see how it looks. In this case, I didn't add a frame because they chose a gallery wrap canvas.

Thomas at the beach

Just some of the results of some quality time with mom (Dawn) and son at the beach. I only had to walk 57 blocks to make it to the boardwalk and meet them...but it was totally worth it!
We started planning this just after Thomas' last session a year ago. This type of session is along the lines of a "lifestyle" session and among my favorite type of shoot...especially with "old" friends. :)

Be sure to check out the collage at the end.

I love this shot! Check out Thomas, checking out those bikini babes.

Eli's birthday portraits

This is Eli.
We tried a studio session for Eli's first birthday, but Eli got the better of us. :)
So, we let a little time pass and tried again - on his turf. His comfort level was right where it needed to be and we got some great images. This first image was the perfect choice for a watercolor treatment, printed on a gallery wrap. It is gorgeous!
Eli's mom, Laura, truly "gets" how important it is to document family history. We did a family "lifestyle" session last year and I just realized I never posted any of the images.
I'll add them shortly, or even better, I'll put their family album up!
