Laura and Jason's engagement session - Delaware engagement photography

Well, just as the title says, these are some of my favs from Laura and Jason's e-session. We shot these back in Brecknock Park. Lots of nice areas, with a little bit of hiking involved. A nice walk in the park and a great opportunity to get to know them a little better before the big day!

Norah and Jon: ( engagement session photography at the beach in Delaware )

Another awesome beach engagement session, and at the same time...painful reminder of how behind I am with my blogging. I photographed Norah and Jon's wedding last month! Those images and the show will be up soon, but for now, let's enjoy a nice day at the beach. :)

Jill and Bill's engagement session ( engagement photography in Kent County, Delaware )

Well, just as the post implies...these are some of my favorites from Jill & Bill's engagement session. I love the beach "e" sessions, but it is a nice change of pace to just go downtown and walk around. It's a challenge just to find little slices of real estate that will look great in the final image. But, that's just part of the equation. You also need a couple who enjoy the experience, enjoy each other and aren't afraid to show it. The dog was great too. :)

Dani and Justin - engagement photography session in Lewes, Delaware

Another fun engagement session at the beach. This time we explored Lewes a little before heading to the beach. It definitely paid off with some great images and more variety - all going into what I predict will be an awesome guestbook!

Engagement session: Rebecca & Robert at Bellevue (Delaware)

Here we have the results of another fun e-session, this one at Bellevue State Park. Perfect weather, soon-to-be newlyweds in love, and plenty of great images to fill a guestbook. I've said it before, but I really enjoy engagement sessions. They provide a great opportunity for me to get to know my wedding clients before the big day. "E" sessions help me to make the transition from "the photographer" to just Lance.
Here are a few favorites, followed by a show. Enjoy!

Engagement session: Amy & Floyd at the beach (Delaware)

I will put up some individual images tomorrow, but for now, please just click in the middle of the screen and enjoy the show. I had a great time getting to know Amy and Floyd a little better. For the first image, I told them to go "badass". They laughed, but I think we pulled it off. :)

Edited "tomorrow"... here are the images, the show is now at the bottom.

Colleen and Brian's engagement session - Rehoboth Beach

These are just a few favorites from Colleen and Brian's e-session at Rehoboth Beach. Great couple - we had a lot of fun. That first images with the seagull flying into frame...you know you'll get good stuff when even the birds do what you want them too. :)

Jen and Travis, an engagement session

I photographed Jen and Travis at White Clay Creek State Park. I hadn't ever been there, or even heard of it before - but, that's the beauty of location photography. New locations help to stimulate the creative juices, as sometimes it can be tempting to do the same old shots when you keep going back to the same old locations.
It was a hot day and there was a lot of hiking in between useable locations. So, they were hot, sweaty and tired before heading off for dinner with family - but it was all worth it! That counted as a trip to the gym, as far as I'm concerned.
